Yesterday I posted a pic of these faux flowers. I thought I would show a pic of what they look like in their Incredible vintage birdcage. A purchase I knew I didn't exactly need, but it was love at first sight. I also want to talk about the candles in the photo. They are wax cylinders with a battery insert. A functional substitute for real candles that we cannot allow in our 100 year old barn. The best thing about them is you just click the top and they turn on, plus the batteries last forever! #fauxflowers #barn #barnwedding #barndecor #barnvenue

Thanksgiving 2024, that's a wrap! Isn't this so funny? At first we stared and then we couldn't stop laughing! Totally looks like some kind of drunk Thanksgiving scene. I swear to you it wasn't!

Must be off season as I'm knees down in a project. I am not a fan of bushes right next to a house so I pulled out the ones I planted 16 years ago and am laying concrete tiles. The reason I don't like bushes right next to the house especially where there's a walkway is because they're always overgrowing the walkway and you have to prune constantly! In my dreamworld of house design, there would be doors outside in almost every room and outside the doors would be at least 20 feet of stonework all around the house. Then you could really live indoor outdoor easily. #projects #tile

After last weekends dramatic storm, it's blown in Burning Bush and Styrax leaves for the win. Our last wedding of the season is on Saturday and of course it will have a fall theme so this windfall from mother nature will fit in perfectly!

I found the screen on the wall last spring on Facebook marketplace. I didn't know why I wanted it or where I wanted to put it, but I just knew that I loved it. You can't tell from this photo but all the middle squares have mirror. The other day as I tripped over it in my bedroom for the hundredth time because I thought I might put it in there,I had the flash that it would look so amazing on this door in the barn and voilà, it has really elevated the look of this formerly slightly boring wall. I'm so happy about it! Thank you Keith for the install!!!

Last nights, radiant bride, Claire. Looking so stunning and like a Nordic queen! Her hairstyle was inspired by a lead character in one of my all time favorite series called Vikings. If you've watched the series you know Lagatha! Nobody could have pulled it off better❣️congratulations and everything strong and beautiful to Claire and Jake!

Raise the Roof fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. Fun time had by all especially the cake run. Emcee Shannon pulled off all the high jinx and they met their target goal! Event coordinator Kelli Fulton did a great job organizing everything and the volunteers were awesome! We were happy to due our part to help! We're already talking about what we could do next year!

They hit their target goal and the night was a big success! At Barnstar, we were happy to support such a hardworking organization!

Love this capture of Michael and Jade🧡 I first met Jade when she was 2! We both lived on Lummi Island. Her parents Jamesa and Matt were friends of mine and Michaels best friend was the son of another friend of mine, Anna. We go different ways in life and sometimes we all get to come together again🧡 I feel a lot of gratitude for experiences like this where you see little ones grow up and lead their own awesome lives!!!

Just picked all the blooms for this weekend's farmstand bouquets. From this wagon full of blooms and probably another one too we will be serving up bouquets all weekend from 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock at our roadside stand. Only 10 bucks!
